First Laugh!
We got to hear the sound of Jonna's laugh today. It turns out that she loves to be bounced up in the air -- she actually was so happy, she squealed at one point!
We got a rare glimpse of Jonna's room today. She sleeps in the bed in the far corner with the pink blanket on the headboard.
There are 12 children in her group. Besides the bedroom, they have a very large playroom with lots of toys and tables and chairs for eating.

Today is Easter in Kaz (and Russia, too.) They're on a different calendar that's a couple weeks off from ours, so they celebrate Christmas on January 7... who knew? Our facilitator and translator each brought us some colored eggs as an Easter gift.

Happy Easter! That's awesome you got to see Jonna's room. We didn't get that same priviledge, only pictures. Jonna looks very happy and comfortable with you guys. Glad things are going so well.

Sherry and family I love the photos! It is so wonderful how well everything is going. Jonna looks more comfortable and happy too. I love her smiles! PS We have new babies too--I bought 2 baby geese, they are unbelievably cute (but not as cute as Jonna ;-)
Everything looks so wonderful. I have a question about communication. Are you speaking the Russian you learned with her or does someone translate? How does she handle communication with Julian?
