Getting to Know You...

Jonna had a great day today. She seems to be getting more relaxed, confident and engaged with us every day. Today was the first day she seemed genuinely happy to see us when we arrived at the baby house.

We're getting to know her pretty well after five days. She is very calm, but strong-willed. She knows what she wants or doesn't want -- when she had enough of Chris's kisses this morning, she pushed his head away with a little squeak. Somehow, she always seems very dignified even if she's protesting something.


We took Julian to the bazaar today to buy sand toys for the playground, and he was very good about sharing them with Jonna.

It's not actually cold here -- it's just a custom to bundle kids up and especially to cover their heads at least until they are 3 or 4. But it was probably in the 70's today!
